| Teachers |
- The role of the teacher is to provide a stimulating environment
in which children learn crucial skills, build self-esteem through
varied and age-appropriate play experiences, and interact with
other children and adults.
- The staff members of each class meet weekly to determine specific
aspects of the curriculum, and to discuss issues, concerns and
observations of the students.
- The teachers aim to work together with the parents to ensure
the safety and well being of each child.
- Please respect the teacher’s need to focus on the children
during class time and schedule a time after class to have a personal
or phone conversation with your child’s teacher if necessary.
|
| Participation Schedulers |
- Each class has a member responsible for creating the work schedule.
- Monthly work requests are due to your class scheduler by the
5th of the preceding month and the schedule will be provided to
you by the 15th of the preceding month. This enables you to make
any necessary switches prior to the beginning of the month, and
to take responsibility for marking any changes on the Master Calendar,
found on the art room bulletin board
|
| Class Representatives |
- Each class has a Class Rep, who acts as liaison between their
class and the board of directors.
- Our class reps have all received additional training in conflict
resolution, and are available resources for parents who would
like to discuss issues or concerns.
- Part of their responsibilities include arranging volunteer help
for the class parties, scheduling “Mom’s Night Out”,
and assisting the Staff with classroom help such as making playdoh
or gak, helping out with nametags, coloring rice for the sensory
bin, acknowledging birthdays with crowns or placemats, or taking
candid photos of the children’s day at school.
